A bit of vid of Peter taking lots of time out of his day to make some fans happy. One of the many reasons he is on my top 10 nicest celebs list.

This past summer I had a few chances to say a few words to Peter & he said a few back. One of those instances was when I had my camera in hand, so I managed to get a few words from him. It came right after my friends & I apologized to him for stopping him, knowing there was countless fans lurking close by, and likely inconveniencing him a little. He was quick to assure us that we werent in fact the problem. Its a statement he would again state to us a few days later when he was stopped by a few fans while on a walk with his family & we were there as well. I heard from a few that he was less willing near the end of the shoot, but I never had such an experience with him. The Peter I continually met was this Peter. The happy to have fans, understanding of the situation the hounds were in & always pleasant Peter. My only regret with my interactions with Peter was that I didnt really know of his involvement with Alex's Lemonade Stand charity when he was easier to track down. It would have been great to maybe get a few words from him on why he works so tirelessly for the charity & why its cause is so vital. But alas, this is really all the talk time I got from him on video are the two vids I am about to post. This one is the first. He talks to my friends & I after stopping to sign a few autographs & realizing hes going to now have a swarm of fans on him. So the Twilight Saga Eclipse wrap party was Saturday night at the Vancouver Aquarium.
If it werent for the multiple sources & leaks stating that was the case, and seeing 1 of the 100 Monkeys outside later in the evening, you would never have known. No sign of high name celebs strolling inside thru the front & only minimal amount of fans waiting around the large city block sized building & grounds they had the event at. Security was tight. They escorted any cast that did show up, thru the back, along a massive long driveway that had a nice little tuck away spot at the end to prevent anyone from even seeing who got out of the 3 SUV style trucks that escorted them there. The details on who was in the specific SUVs is unknown by anyone but those in them & any security working right at the doors. Party goers likely didnt even know, till they saw the cast in there who was showing up. I originally stated KStew was there. Conflicting reports have said she was not. I will concede that its POSSIBLE I was wrong, but without verification from someone actually in there who saw everyone, I still stand behind my statement based on what we know from afterwards. I wont get into detailed specifics, because a couple things we learned thru the night might be useful somewhere down the road. But what we can state is, an SUV left the party & returned to the Sheraton, where it unloaded the people that were in it (believed to be 2, possbly 3). My driver, who has eagle eye vision, was certain he saw a w0man with short dark black hair in the side closest to us as it pulled out. I trust his instincts on this, which is why we were certain it was KS, especially considering later events. Later at the hotel, not long after the SUV left with no one in it, a cab left with again, someone fitting KS decription. The cabbie was clearly being instructed to lose us, as he made unneccesary & probably illegal moves in the crowded downtown streets, then did excessively over the speed limit across a bridge. We eventually caught up, only to have the cab stop in the middle of the road & pull a sharp u-turn. We were now convinced the woman we saw in there had to be KS & because of the timing after the drop off from the party, that it had to be the girl my friend saw upon the departure from the party. Is it possible it was 2 different people? A random girl leaving the party with others and going to the Sheraton, then KS coincidentally leaving the Wall shortly after that in a cab? Yes. Logic would dictate they are related events though. Of course, logic isnt always right. While we went on this adventure, our back up team followed the 2nd & 3rd SUVs to leave. He followed them into downtown core where they split up. The one he evetually stuck with, went back to the apartments where Bryce Dallas Howard emerged from it. Who was in the 3rd one?? No one knows. Where did it go?? No one knows. So this was why, I stated KS, BDH & Jackson were the only cast we could confirm. BDH clearly was there. Undeniable, unless she has learned how to teleport. Jackson played with his band there, so that too is undeniable. Was Kristen there? We believe so, but reports claim she wasnt, while others say she was. Was Rob there? Again, conflicting reports. I suspect they were both there, and people only saw 1 or the other at any time, and maybe a couple people saw both & thus why all the confusion with the various claims from the event. Anyways, it was an entertaining evening as I got to speak with a few of the fans & had a few laughs. But productivity wise, yeah, it was bad. Barring any miracles, especialyl since I am fighting off a shoulder problem right now that has me resting as much as I can, that is probably my last hurrah at Eclipse. When I am feeling more up to it- I might put together a quick blog giving my opinions & input on various things about this adventure. This past weekend I finally had the chance to get Jack Huston.
For those not in the know. Jack is playing a small part in Twilight Sage: Eclipse as "Royce King II", he is better known currently for his role on the new TV show "Eastwick". I was given the scoop on his departing time by a former employee or Punkd Images & now that he was free of the tyrannical throttle of information that was put on him by his former boss, he freely told me of this departing flight. I showed up to the airport in time to assure myself I wouldnt miss him. While there I ran into a couple people of interest to the autograph/pap world. Talked at length with 1 & breifly with another. After that, I went back to work, looking for Jack (or as the girls on the TV show he guest stars on "Eastwick" labelled him, a Johnny Depp clone) It didnt take too much longer before he came thru. I actually noticed Punkd following him like a a rat follows the pied piper, before I noticed him. I approached him for some autographs & he happily obliged. I snapped a few pics of him afterwards. It wasnt my best set of pics ever. Mainly because I had no intention of shooting it, but opted to just to be a petty ass in eliminating any exclusivity Punkd might have thought there would be. My settings were not right & I was trying to avoid using a flash, so of the 15-20 pics I took, very few were too usable. So these are the best of the bunch. We talked breifly about his filming here & his role on Eastwick. He seemed excited to be recognized for his Eastwick role, even though I had to confess to only having seen 1 episode of it. He then went on his way. Right before he was about to go thru security checkpoint I asked him if he could pose for a photo, and he did and then he went on his way. The other day I had the oppourtunity to see 3 or more cast members from the Twilight series. Plus of course 1 special 1, the author...who has had cameos in the first couple movies.
My day started with rushing out of the house to get to the airport for Dakota Fanning leaving. When I saw what time it was I didnt think I would have a chance, but still had to try. I took the new skytrain line from the downtown core to the airport, and have to say, it did a very good job of getting me there in a decent time. Unfortunately I got a text when I was about 6-8 mins away telling me she had gone thru a few mins earlier. So I missed her by 10-15 mins. Little did I know, this would be just the start of the bad luck day. I grabbed a bite to eat & got caught up on the new pap/hound gossip of Punkd firing yet his 2nd photog in less than a month. While sitting around chatting about that, I got a hasty phone call from one of my buddies simply telling me to get back over to the departures area asap. I ran over there (a few hundred feet) to see Stephenie Meyer, the Twilight saga series writer approaching the desk to check luggage in. I found out she signed a few autographs before getting in line, but also was warned that we might get told no by her assistant. I, along with a couple other autograph hounds, 2 or 3 fans & the croc hunter waited in the area where she would have to go by to get to the security gate. While waiting for her, I was of course confronted by the croc hunter who wanted to challenge me to a fight. Of course, since the guy makes a living from lawsuits I opted to decline. Some yammering back & forth was interrupted by Stephenie finally coming thru. Instantly we were told "no, she doesnt have time to sign, she has a plane to catch" by her assistant. I never brought up the fact that she had 45-50 mins to get thru the security gate & no line up ahead of her. Wish I had, would have been interesting to see them come up with a new excuse. Instead I walked with her & her assistant for about 2-3 mins to the gate, away from the gate, back to the gate, all the while telling us no. I video taped most of her denial, unfortunately my editing program is messed up & wont edit the vid...so I am having to put off posting the vid till I can edit out the shaky camera work & dead miments. But I did take a handful of stills from it. After Steph left there was a few hrs to kill. When we returned, we found out we had just missed Billy Burke arriving. That didnt affect me so much, since I had nothing for him with me. We waited for our last hope of the evening. Peter Facinelli was due to leave later in the evening. We sat around chatting with people who in theory, arent supposed to talk to us. People that work with Punkd. But with the king croc hunter not around, everyone was allowed to be ammicable. After sitting there for well over an hour it was decided he either wasnt getting on the flight, or managed to sneak by us (which is possible depending on what the driver does & what type of luggage he has). We went home with little success. Not an overall good day...but you wont win them all I guess. Last night was the 40th birthday of David Slade. It was assumed there was going to be some large get together of the cast with David. Little did we know, David was hard at work on his birthday, while some fo the cast took the chance to have a dinner together.
I got downtown early evening all ready for who knows what, but I suspected it was going to be late. I started out at the Sheraton, but soon after chose to change locales to the residence. While there I found out several cast members left all together & that everyone at the residence had left to follow. It took awhile, but eventually the cat was out of the bag. A variety of cast were at Gotham Steakhouse. This is one of the more notable eateries in Vancouver. Celebs of all levels dine there, gangsters dine there, athletes dine there, politicians, you name it. So it was hardly some hidden little hole in the wall find. What was not known was exactly who all were in there. A variety of paps were there, several autograph hounds & a two fan/informants. All the regular paps, hounds & informants were in the mix. What was missing was Rob, Kristen & a few other notables. It was obvious they had opted to have another get together elsewhere away from the high profile big fancy look at me steakhouse dinner. That was where the less notable cast, Stephenie Meyer and Kellan Lutz went to dine. The majority of the main cast Rob, Kristen, Ashley, Nikki, Elizabeth, Jackson & Xavier, went elsewhere. At one point I decided to try a hunch & went on a wild goose chase to a few hot spots to see if the others could be found, but I came up empty & eventually came back to Gotham. When I got there I was informed that Kellan had just left a minute earlier & everyone had gone to chase. To top it off, one of the two people I thought would be there for any following that was required decided to book off for the night because of a girl. Which is all fine and good...MOST nights, but not one where you know there is potentially a big evening on the line. The other followed Kellan, but soon lost him & while they were gone, the rest of the party let out. First up was the Wolves. Chaske Spencer, Bronson Pelletier, Alex Meras & Kiowa Gordon all went into a cab together. Chaske & Bronson signing a couple autographs each on the way to the vehicle. I got 1 from Chaske, as I didnt need the others. After them, everything was a bit of a blur. I recall seeing Stephenie Meyer leave with a couple people, but I couldnt tell you if it was with cast or not. Daniel Cudmore I believe left on his own. I also believe Charlie Bewley left on his own. But I cant be certain in either case. Julia Jones & Bryce Dallas Howard I believe left together. Cameron Bright, his mom, Jodelle Ferland & someone I assume was her mom, I believe left together. I stopped Jodelle for an autograph. I am a huge Dead Like Me fan & she is a pretty notable guest spot in the pilot, so getting her to ME was cool. I coerced her to sign a second autograph. She seemed willing, but the lady with her (perhaps her mom) was not as eager for her to do it. I had a 3rd photo as well, but after how hard it was to convince her to sign the 2nd, I took what I got & let it go for another time. It took less than 5 minutes & the place was a ghost town & not one single person around to follow any of them. From there, my friend & I decided to focus our attention on a flight coming in that had Taylor Lautner. Giving up temporarily on the chase of the possible cast get together (at this time we didnt know DS was working still, we still thought there was a bday get together somewhere). When we got to the airport we found it out it was the worst kept secret of all time. Somewhere between 12 & 15 people were out there waiting for this flight. When it landed we looked around & my friend saw Taylor coming thru, and quickly realized he was not going to come thru the door we expected him to. So everyone scrambled back to the inside where we were drooling at the prospect of him taking the long way thru. We were fooled, he had been wisked away in some way that we still havent figured out, but he was taken from the arrivals level to the departures level. Most of the group made their way upstairs by escalator & elevator. As my elevator got up there I looked & saw no sign of him. Everyone thought they had been duped, and headed away. At the last second, I saw several hundred feet away, one of the locals from http://www.twilight-gossip.com speed walking away from us, a second later I saw someone getting an autograph waaaaaay down the terminal. I beelined down there, sure enough it was Taylor Lautner & his dad with an escort guard and another autograph hound getting him to sign. I got over there & the guard told me to get back or I would be arrested. I backed off, and was ready to make my move maybe 75-100 feet down where there was a break, as they were hiding behind check in counters. But I didnt have to make a move, they came out towards us. I asked again, and his dad asked politely "what colour pen do you have" I said blue, he looked on disapprovingly, so I said I had a black too, which he took, handed to Taylor & he proceeded to sign for me, another hound, then another for me, before being hurried to his towncar. One pap got a few shots of him, but for the mostpart, the large crowd downstairs didnt even get a sniff of him. In toll I think only 4 or 5 people got anything out of him, autographs, pics or anything. After he was gone there was a pretty unfriendly verbal altercation between the female guard who was escorting them to the car & a pap. I wasnt at the hotel when Taylor showed up, but the report is that the driver of the car & perhaps Taylors dad got out & lambasted those that were there for the incident at the airport, as she had apparently phoned the driver to tell him what went on. By the time I got back downtown (BTW- the new skytrain is fast once it gets going, but I waited like 10-15 mins for it to show up, then leave.) it was clear Rob was out somewhere & those that knew were not interested in sharing with the others. So after an hour or so of taking random stabs in the dark to see if we could find anything I called it a night and came home. Not a total disaster, but not as great of an evening as projected. Final total for the night 2 Taylor Lautners, 2 Jodelle Ferland, 1 Chaske Spencer & a few pics. Below are the pics of Jodelle, Daniel Cudmore & Charlie Bewley (with Cameron Bright over his shoulder) from the dinner. After fighting off the general of all colds lately, I finally put in some quality time hounding yesterday & had reasonably decent results.
After a quick stop off to get a few Canucks in the late morning/early afternoon, it was off to go for Eclipse. First stop was to get a few BooBoo Stewart autographs at the former ground zero of the Eclipse cast. Since the mass exodus of the cast earlier this month from there, its been relatively a ghost town. However, it seems cast members who are here for breif stints still go there...this included Booboo. When I showed up he was sitting outside, hanging with 2 people, sipping away on a Subway drink while his friends were eating. Eventually they got up to leave & my friends & I grabbed a few autographs & a I took a few pics. Hewas incredibly pleasant & seemed thrilled with the attention. After that I headed to the still practically unknown destination of the current Eclipse cast. Although still in the downtown core, we opted to drive over there. Things seemed dead for awhile, then eventually there were small signs of life. First person sighted was Chaske Spencer. My friend hurried over to get him before he went in the door. I showed up a few seconds later & snapped a few pics of him before he headed inside. He told us about the long nights of shooting where they werent getting back till 7 AM. He said he was going upstairs to catch a nap...cant blame him. It was clearly a short nap though, as I would see him more later. At the same time we saw Chaske, another celebrity was spotted going to a store nearby. Current Smallville villian & best known as Mason on Dead Like Me, Callum Blue was out doing a bit of shopping. I was going to snap a few pics of him as he left, but he came out & spotted me & started up a conversation....so I would have felt like a real dick taking shots then. We chatted for a minute as he walked back to his residence, not far from where the Twilighters now reside. Sometime after that, and before the next encounter I saw a handful of the 100 Monkeys leave for their show they had last night at Neptoon Records. There was a bit of a lull after that. We would eventually see Chaske again going out with a friend. A little while after that from a distance one of the hounds noticed Xavier Samuel & 2 girls leaving in the opposite direction. We hurried after them, eventually catching up to him just before he was about to go & see a film. He stopped & signed a few autographs, and posted for a couple pics before heading inside. Upon returning there was an excitement that things were picking up. As it turned out, it was not really the case. A bit of a lull happened again, but when it was finally broken it was hectic. Alex Meraz, Kiowa Gordon & Bronson Pelletier came out together & headed towards the club area. I stopped Bronson first, then Kiowa. Both who seemed fine with being stopped. Alex kept going forward. I caught up to him & asked him to sign as well, he gave me a less than impressed look & signed 1 with what seemed like a pained look on his face. I had heard he was not too receptive to autographs, clearly they were right. I then pushed my luck & asked if the 3 of them would mind posing for a pick. I got an enthusiastic reply from 2 of them & they posed long enough for me to get 1 good pics. I'll give you 3 guesses who wasnt the overly enthused one. After that they went on their way & I returned to wait for more. Shortly after that, Chaske was on his way back...again. I got him to sign a couple photos & he went inside. As the evening wore on, I was getting itchy to go & check out the 100 Monkeys show. So I finally decided to take off & go to the venue. On my way to the bus to take me there I developed a mild leg cramp & decided I was going to stop off at home first, which was a slight detour from my route, but still close enough I could get to the venue in 20 mins if anything happened. As it turned out, that was actually the end of my day. I laid down to wait for the cramp to subside, but it never did & eventually I just fell asleep.....but all in all, a fairly decent day, so no regrets on bailing early. |
